MnFIRE Team Trainings

Join MnFIRE training instructors, peer supporters and providers for practical training on MnFIRE’s latest programs and benefits. We invite both current and new instructors, peer supporters and providers to learn more about MnFIRE and how you can get involved.

Training Agenda

All trainings will begin with an overview session about MnFIRE’s mission and the latest and greatest information about our health and wellness programs for Minnesota firefighters and their families. Then, we will split into two tracks for focused training: instructors and peer supporters & providers.

Instructors

This session is mandatory for both new and current MnFIRE instructors to continue teaching MnFIRE trainings. We will dive in on the latest training curriculum and teaching best practices.

If you’re interested in becoming a MnFIRE instructor, please fill out this application before registering for a team training.

Peer Supporters & MnFIRE Network Providers

This session is for peer supporters and MnFIRE network providers interested in participating in our MnFIRE Critical Incident and Crisis Response Team. It will provide an overview of MnFIRE’s Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and crisis response services for Minnesota fire departments. Learn more about the goals of this growing program, and how peer supporters and providers can join our CISM team. We will also provide some basic education for peers and providers on working with firefighters.

If you’re interested in becoming a MnFIRE peer supporter, learn more here. If you’re a mental health provider interested in joining the MnFIRE provider network, please contact us.
